About us
The Med opened in 2000 originally called Cafe Med. The creation of Chef Doug Nassar was based on the demand for fresh, local, Mediterranean-style cooking. The Med is a family-owned and operated restaurant that believes that the highest quality foods at reasonable prices should be the standard dining experience.
The Med values family and community, which is why it actively supports and sponsors many non-profit organizations. In addition to supporting nonprofits, The Med conducts business with as many local and family-owned purveyors as possible.
